Prom 2026

I went to the prom on Friday, I was excited to see my friends and have a good time.  Unfortunately, I did not have a good time. My friends are not a boastful gang. They do not like loud music and have sensitivity about big crowds. They describe feeling basically very uncomfortable. I have heard suggestions of having the music not in the main ballroom.  Unlike typical people, autistics like dancing without music. My friends like to make a cameo appearance and then leave. Sadly they make assurances that they had a good time but I think they are just being kind.  I know everyone works hard and tries to make it a very special night but I really think we should simplify social gatherings.

My Mission and Gift

It All Begins Here

My Mission:

I am writing this blog to tell my story and raise awareness about the competency of non-speaking autistics. Assume we are intelligent, challenged by our body but capable of fervent ideas and knowing.

We need to make spelling a very important and essential aspect of basic education of non-speaking autistics.  I am looking to raise awareness and ask for support of the New York State Assembly Bill A7363 (**) it is a landmark piece of legislation designed to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities to communicate in their preferred manner.

I have to reveal one of my greatest gifts. I am able to communicate telepathically with my non-speaking autistic friends. Most non-speaking autistics are telepathic, kind and very intelligent people.  This is why I am so confident that giving non-speaking autistics the same opportunity to spell will change their mostly sad life, to a life saved by the power to communicate.

Vision: For each amazing non-speaking autistic person to vastly change their lives by learning how to spell to communicate.  For non-speaking autistic people to be reasonably honored and respected for their intelligence and contribution to society. The world will be a much better, more accepting and beautiful place for all!
